We received a Digital Ehon Award!

We are so happy to announce that our Time Travel Trondheim digital history book has just received a Digital Ehon Award in the category Digital Educational Material! Unfortunately we were not able to go to Japan ourselves to attend the award ceremony, so Tom Knappskog from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo accepted the award on behalf of ablemagic. The Digital Ehon Award is an international award for digital children's books, and we have received it once before, for Bruno in 2015. Photo: Ivar Knappskog

WhatBird update

Spring is here, and we have released a new version of our birdsong recognition app WhatBird. Now you can share your observations with your friends, and upgrade to WhatBird+ to do off-line recordings and listen to your previous observations. More than 80 000 users have downloaded the app so far! WhatBird is still available only in Scandinavia.

Pilotini is a digital coloring activity with planes, helicopters, air balloons and other flying objects. Where to find it? At Trondheim Airport Værnes, of course! Now all passengers traveling through Værnes can color a plane and send it up to the big screen – from the touch screen installations on the airport or from the Pilotini coloring app on their own devices. The film festival Kosmorama 2017 is over, and it was such great fun with robots in all shapes and on all platforms! ablemagic had made a brand new Robot Factory for the occasion. Here kids could make their own robots on touch screens and send them in to the factory on the big screen, where they started to work together with other robots – created by other kids. And of course the digital factory produced real sweets!

The children had to go looking for fun facts around the city, and also got the chance to try the Time Travel Trondheim app on the ablemagic PLAYBOX.
